Birthday celebrations

We had a lovely birthday afternoon tea in our garden on Saturday, for our son and his wife who have birthdays within days of each other. Our youngest grandchild was welcomed by his cousins in the usual style, they all love to bring the youngest into their playtime.

I thought that ball was thirsty.....

And there's always a show off, isn't there :-)

Then it was time for the strawberry sponge birthday cake, well it had to be didn't it with our glut of them form the allotment.

As you can see we had a pretty good feast....

And someone certainly enjoyed these sausage rolls made by his aunty Pru.

As there was plenty of cake left we decided to take morning coffee on Sunday at the allotment before Dan and family left for home.

What a lovely weekend :-)

What a lovely post. Perfect weather for your family celebrations. I love it when all the cousins can get together. Our grandchildren are mostly in their twenties now, 2 in 30s and two teenagers, but they enjoy meeting up. I am watering weeds along with plants at present - the weeding must wait for cooler conditions. I have waited so long for summer but now it is too hot for gardening and the soil is like iron.
