The time is rushing by towards the hand in date for my entry in the CHF textile competition, so I have decided to follow the example/advice of a a very wise (hence the owl pic) blogger friend Val and take a blogging break until the piece is finished. I don't really want to be away from the scene, but I spend most evenings surfing and I really need that time to get my sketch books ready and work on the embroidery for the piece.
I shall look forward to sharing it all with you in September when it's gone on public display at The Forge Mill Needle Museum in Redditch.
I shall look forward to returning to Blogland in August.

A very good piece of advice - blogging is good fun but takes up so much time. Love the owl pic - best of luck with all the work you have to get through. Looking forward to hearing all about the exhibition in August.

I shall miss you Sharon but I can understand your need to concentrate. This internet thing is a scourge really! lol I too spend all evening tapping and surfing when I could be using the time creatively or even just reading. Have a good summer till August and good luck with the competition. Beautiful owl btw.
Probably a wise choice. If I had a job or any marketable talents, I would, too!

Sounds very sensible and I should do the same really...but doubt I will for now! I will miss you though. Good luck with the work, I know you'll produce something beautiful and look forward to seeing it all in due course. Do keep in touch by email if you have the time.

Yikes - that is months away!! I'll be thinking of you and look forward to your "return"!! All the best too for the comp etc. PS Bet you give in and occasionally look at some blogs though!
