And then there was snow!

I wonder how many of us Brits had a surprise wake up call this morning with a layer of snow on the ground. I woke up at 7.0 am and it looked like someone had been out with the icing sugar shaker. An hour later and we had a full blown blizzard.
So I just had to take the camera out for a spin in our surrounding woodlands. I was freezing cold in about 30 minutes, much to my OH's utter disgust, he promptly shouted 'Wimp"!! after me as I headed home for a warming cup of coffee. To be fair I didn't have the advantage of Royal Marine style Arctic camo clothing. Come to think of it I don't think I'd want it!
Anyway here's a few shots I did earlier.

Hi
Yes we had snow too. Not as picturesque as this though.Ours came this afternoon and was not as crisp as this.
I hate the snow but love your photos.
Chilly cheers

I am not sure that you would continue to appreciate the beauty when you have so much snow but to me (having never seen the real thing) this just looks incredible (but very cold!) Awesome photographs - I really feel as though the snow is on my computer screen.

PS Wonderful mail you have been receiving - that holly postcard looks fantastic.

What a wonderland, except it's cold and wet!!
We have to drive a long way to see snow of any large quantity. Our children are beach babies (they were at the beach from 1 week old) and have only experienced snow once so far in their lives. Must go this year if the season is good. (Unfortunately I can't ski anymore due to a dodgy knee).
